Default Liposonix vs. Zerona

Lately there is a huge advertising and radio campaign going on about the Liposonix procedure.
Many people mix it mistakenly with the Zerona laser liposuction. Make no mistake: these are totally different procedures. Well, what is the preferred of the two? I will let you decide about it.
To decide what procedure is better for us I will compare the two on the following categories: Number of bodies’ areas that can be treated, ease of the procedure (painless or not), downtime, time to see results and number of expected inches to lose.
I will say that the price is almost the same according to my phone inquiry to the clinic who deals with it in my area. So we can leave that issue as even.
Let’s compare. To do so I used Aesthetic Medicine News website that describes the Liposonix procedure. I also called a clinic in Toronto area to get some more details of their service.

Pain:
Zerona – Totally painless. You literally don’t feel anything and can have a quick nap.
Liposonix – Painful (well you get pain killers so I guess it is painful…).

Downtime:
Zerona – no downtime
Liposonix – “little to no patient down time” (meaning: might be downtime)

Number of areas treated at same session:
Zerona – multiple areas e.g. stomach + back + love handles + buttocks + hips + thighs
Liposonix – One area only: Stomach.

Number of areas that can be treated:
Zerona – Any area of the body – from face, arms to the body, upper and lower, and the legs.
Liposonix – one area only – stomach.
Time needed to see results:
Zerona – 1- 2 weeks.
Liposonix – 8 – 12 weeks.

Expected inches to lose:
Zerona – 3 – 12 inches (6 in average)
Liposonix – Up to 1.1 inch (best scenario)

Medical contradictions:
Zerona – Very few (pregnancy, pacemaker)
Liposonix – Many e.g. coagulation disorder, have an implanted electrical device, systemic disease, chronic condition, previously treated with injection lipolysis…..I can go on with this list…it is long…

Other benefits gained:
Zerona – Bad cholesterol will go down while the good will rise.
Fat percentage in your body will decrease
Liposonix – Not known of any.

BMI limitations:
Zerona – Can treat people with BMI over 30.
Liposonix – limited to people with maximum of 30 BMI

Scars:
Zerona – Will likely smooth the cars.
Liposonix – none.

Treat cellulite:
Zerona – will improve cellulite condition.
Liposonix – None.

Can Treat previous Liposuction areas:
Zerona – Yes.
Liposonix – No.

FDA Approval:
Zerona – Has approval for safety as well as results.
Liposonix – None.

Conclusion: The Zerona procedure is preferred over the Liposonix in every aspect. It is has many great advantages over Liposonix with much better results in a significant shorter period of time.

You make it look like a no-brainer - but then how do you explain why all these plastic surgeons and dermatologists have chosen LipoSonix over Zerona?

It's all about marketing.
Liposonix is trying to get FDA so they are using Toronto as a jump start to get into the American market, they are pumping millions into commercials in Toronto.

SBMI (the company that sells Zerona) haven't spend 1 dollar in Canada yet, all the info about the Zerona comes from shows that are based in the states or from clinics who provide the Zerona in Canada. The only thing that SBMI has done so far, is to get 1 sales person who is from Nova-Scotia.
They are claiming that they will pump money into the Canadian market in the coming months, we will see.

I'm not saying that Liposonix doesn't work, but when you compare apples to apples, the benefits of the Zerona far outweigh those of the Liposonix.

Just wanted to point out, recently the Zerona got FDA.
What does it mean? The FDA decided that the Zerona works like it claims to.
Also I want to point out that it is the only FDA approved machine for body contouring.

So, no more questions like "Does it work?" The FDA decided that it does (and safe of course).

Default Approval

Zerona was approved by the FDA. That should be enough said. Look at all of the reviews as well too. Zerona does it work? Yes.
